    Notation & Moves

Before you turn anything, you need a shared language. Cubers describe every move with a single letter: R, L, U, D, F, B for the six faces. An apostrophe like R' means turn that face counter-clockwise. A 2 like U2 means a 180° turn.

  2. 2

    White Cross

Start by placing the four white edges around the white center to form a plus sign. The trick: each edge must also match the side center color.

  3. 3

    White Corners

Insert the four white corner pieces using the 'right-trigger' R U R'. Repeat until the corner lands in place.

    Middle Layer Edges

Place the non-yellow edges into the middle layer using two mirrored sequences.

  5. 5

    Yellow Cross

Form a yellow plus on top. Apply the algorithm 1–3 times depending on what you see (dot → L → line → cross).

    Orient Yellow Corners

Get all yellow stickers facing up. Hold the cube so an un-oriented corner is in the front-right.

    Permute Last Layer

Final step. Cycle the last-layer pieces into their correct positions using PLL algorithms.
